The 465uF Start Capacitor fits 3/4 HP – 1 HP Painted 56 Frame & C-Face Motors. UL listed. Elite Motors OEM part. A capacitor located in the housing on the side of the motor. Briefly increases motor start torque. In boat lifts when the motor is a little sluggish at the start or just hums, it is a typical indicator that the start capacitor should be replaced. Easy as replacing a battery. No motor entry required. Works with Marathon, GE, A.O. Smith, and Leeson motors.

Start capacitor power measured by units of capacitance, labeled in microfarads (uF). This is the ability of a body to store an electrical charge; the smaller the number the less the charge. Most known C-Face, single phase, 3/4 HP boat lift motors use start capacitors with a uF capacitance as low as 600.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is stated that this capacitor is the factory capacitor for the Elite Brand Motors and can be used as a universal capacitor for other brand motors. BH-USA has tested this capacitor for the listed brands to be used as a universal capacitor, however, you will still need to measure the inside of the housing to ensure that this start capacitor will fit. This capacitor could differ in size, color, and markings from the capacitor on your existing motor. Take caution when working with any electrical component and ensure that the motor is unplugged before attempting to change the capacitor. A start capacitor can still have the ability to shock you even when the motor is unplugged. BH-USA always recommends you hire a licensed electrician for any work done on electric motors.
